Co-Pastors, David Lewicki and Beth Waltemath
David and Beth share pastoral responsibilities at North Decatur Presbyterian Church. They both lead worship, teach, and offer pastoral care. They met as students at Union Theological Seminary (NY) and lived in New York City for a decade prior to moving to Georgia in 2010. They have two children, James, 4, and Margaret, 1.
David became a pastor after working as a nonprofit professional. He co-founded and ran Urban Solutions, a youth and community development organization in New Haven, CT from 1998-2001, where he was awarded the Echoing Green Fellowship for social entrepreneurs. He has degrees from Yale University (BA, American Studies) and Union Theological Seminary in New York (MDiv). David was the Associate Pastor for Young Adults at the Marble Collegiate Church in New York City from 2004-2010.
David sees the church as a place where people come to know God together, to know ourselves as people who are broken but becoming whole, and to be sent into the world as “wounded healers.” He likes grassroots movements for social improvement, eating cookies, tickling his children, and sports (the ones that don’t require firearms… except maybe biathalon). He blogs at ministerslife.blogspot.com and tweets at dlewicki.

Beth shares one job, one house, one car and two children with David Lewicki (ie, she is good at sharing). Beth graduated as an Echols Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia (BA, English) before receiving a fellowship to teach in England. In 2000, she moved to New York City and enjoyed working for Random House and Hearst Magazines before becoming a freelance writer and attending seminary. She received her MDiv from Union Theological Seminary in New York City.
Beth learned that work in the church demands flexibility and faith in her first call to The First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn, where she served in many roles: as Director of Christian Education, Associate Pastor, and Pastor in Charge from 2003-2010. Beth believes that when we tend to the needs of others we discover and often satisfy our deepest longings. She belongs to the church because it is a place where this can happen.
Beth is discovering the depth of God’s healing through caring for her medically fragile daughter and nurturing her son’s desire to be a stand-up comic. Beth is happiest writing for literary websites, lifestyle magazines and church curriculum.

Clinton Miller is the Music Minister of North Decatur Presbyterian Church where he oversees the direction of an adult choir, children and youth music and handbell choir. Clint has been working as a church musician since 1993 and has served several churches in the greater Atlanta area for over 13 years. He has a BM in Music Performance from Western Kentucky University. Clint has been a member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and Chamber Chorus since 2003 and has performed with them at Carnegie Hall, the Ojai Music Festival, and with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
Clint believes music has the ability to touch emotions in ways that words cannot alone. We are all unique people created by God and singing brings our many unique voices together to create one ‘fabric’ of sound.
In his spare time, Clint enjoys attending music concerts and recitals, spending time outdoors (hiking, swimming, boating), cooking and enjoying good beer with friends. He is a Kentucky native but since moving to Georgia has learned to wear shoes.

Amanda Osenga, Director of Children, Youth and Family Ministries
Amanda tends to the care and nurture of the spiritual and educational development of our youngest members. Having been involved in Christian Education for over a decade Amanda believes that children and youth have much to offer the church and our world at each age in their life. Amanda enjoys developing curriculum for all ages, although she has a particular passion for confirmation classes. One of her greatest joys is sharing in moments when youth discover and claim their God-given gifts.
Before earning her Masters of Divinity from Candler School of Theology, Amanda served as a Director of Youth Ministry in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where she also moonlighted as a barista, learning more about people and being church than serving coffee. Amanda also worked as a Director of Discipleship in Ocala, Florida. While in Ocala, Amanda became involved in building relationships among different faith traditions where she helped to start an interfaith youth group.
As part of a military family, Amanda grew up in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, England, and Germany, and developed a love for traveling. She enjoys frequenting local coffee shops, camping in remote places, playing with clay, reading good books and training for triathlons.
