The Long Road Toward Mercy (Teacher Recognition Sunday)

In the last week of our series on Christ in Culture, we reflect on how we share what we’ve seen. It’s no longer enough to “tell people the Good News” (if it ever was). In our secular age, our task is to show others the new way of living that the Risen Christ opens to us. No more mansplaining Jesus!

Rev. David Lewicki, preaching.

Final part of the Easter Sermon Series: “Finding Christ in Culture”

A 4-week sermon series in which we explore the way Christ appears in our culture. People claim to hear Jesus’ voice in their heads, or see his face miraculously on a piece of breakfast toast. Jesus appears as a character on the Simpsons or in iconoclastic visual art. Jesus is in Bruce Springsteen songs and best-selling novels. Are any of these “faithful” visions? How do we know? Where in the world do you see the Risen Christ appearing?
