The church, for David, is a place where we know God in and through relationships–we learn that we are valued, and we are we are sent into the world to love and serve others. He is married to the Rev. Beth Waltemath. They met as seminarians, and lived and worked in New York City for a decade prior to moving to Georgia in 2010. They have three children in local public schools.
