Service

The members of the North Decatur Presbyterian Church believe that the Christian faith is always personal, but never private. Throughout our 55-year history, and into today, our members are leaders in local and global justice work, in works of compassion and mercy, and more recently in environmental preservation and justice issues.

In the vision of Acts 4, we have worked hard to make the city of Decatur a place where no person has a need. Many of our members have served in overseas missions, supporting sisters and brothers in Asia, Africa, and Central and South America.

We currently engage in mission through four distinct working committees:
  1. Community Ministries – partnering with local and regional nonprofits
  2. Creation Care – environmental justice and protection
  3. Global Mission – partnering with nonprofits overseas
  4. Peace & Justice – advocacy and education around systemic injustices and peacemaking
These commitments are essential to our Christian witness. We invite you to learn more about the people, places, and issues that are important to our members by viewing the links in this section.
