Time and Talent Checklist
One of the great blessings of NDPC is the generosity of members to donate their time and offer their talents to the many committees, programs and events that are part of our community. This checklist is a handy guide to the many volunteer opportunities available at NDPC.
NDPC relies on the generous support of its members. Though we do collect an offering during worship services, we encourage members to fill out pledge cards to allow us to better allocate resources. All of the money we collect supports the church’s work to love and heal our community and world. If you write a check, you will get a receipt to write it off on your taxes. How much should you give? It’s up to you. Contributing 10% or more of your income to charity is standard Christian teaching.

Capital Campaign Benevolence Proposals
NDPC has a strong tradition of sharing our resources. From our building, to our annual budget, we strive to make sure our resources are used to help our community. Our Capital Campaign also includes a provision for part of the funds raised to be used for benevolence projects, so that we are also helping our partners in ministry make some long-term investments in making their ministry one that is “Green and Growing.” You can read about the proposals for benevolence funding that our NDPC committees have identified here.
The NDPC session is the body of elected elders who meet regularly with our pastors to make decisions about church business, care for our members, and connect with the wider church. The meetings are open to anyone interested in attending, and the minutes of the meetings will be posted here.
NDPC Marketing Plan
This marketing plan was commissioned in response to the Communication objective of the North Decatur Presbyterian Church (NDPC) Long-Range Plan adopted in October 2012. This marketing plan addresses the need for the church to develop an internal and external communication strategy. A working group of church members with a range of experiences in marketing and communications was convened to create a marketing approach in line with NDPC’s mission, vision, and values.
