Amanda tends to the care and nurture of the spiritual and educational development of our youngest members. Having been involved in Christian Education for over a decade, Amanda believes children and youth have much to offer the church and our world at each age in their life. Amanda enjoys developing curriculum for all ages, although she has a particular passion for confirmation classes. One of her greatest joys is sharing in moments when youth discover and claim their God-given gifts. Before earning her Masters of Divinity from Candler School of Theology, Amanda served as a Director of Youth Ministry in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, where she also moonlighted as a barista, learning more about people and being part of a church than serving coffee. Amanda also worked as a Director of Discipleship in Ocala, Florida. While in Ocala, Amanda became involved in building relationships among different faith traditions where she helped to start an interfaith youth group.
As part of a military family, Amanda grew up in Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, England, and Germany, and developed a love for traveling. She enjoys frequenting local coffee shops, camping in remote places, playing with clay, reading good books and training for triathlons.
