When is Worship?
We offer two worship services (8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.) on Sundays, with Church School for adults, youth, and children in between during the school year. From June through August, there is one worship service (10:00 a.m.) with no Church School. The 8:30 a.m. service is a simplified version of the later service, with Communion served every Sunday. The 11:00 a.m. service follows a traditional order of worship, though each Sunday is unique. Special services throughout the year mark significant days in the church calendar (Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday).
What About Children in Worship?
Children are part of the family of God. Children that are included in worship at a young age absorb and internalize the sights, sounds and feeling of worship. Through their attendance, children grow to appreciate the importance of worship in their lives.
Children hearing and seeing with fresh ears and eyes offer insights that can help open the gospel to all of us. Children remind us that worship is an experience to be shared. While NDPC offers childcare for infants and younger children during worship, all children are always welcome to worship with their family.
