On MLK Monday, January 16, 2023, NDPC will sponsor a volunteer team to improve the safety and efficiency of elderly citizens’ homes in Decatur. Spread the word: invite friends and neighbors, and share the volunteer link with anyone you believe may want to join our team.
There will be a variety of jobs to be done and the “day of” volunteers can decide the type of work you feel comfortable doing. Typically, volunteers arrive and place yourself in a “skilled” task like screen replacements or painting, or “unskilled” group–usually yard work or mitigation of invasive species. Dress for the weather.

We hope to see 50 people on the NDPC team, joining together in service to our neighbors. It is very satisfying to see a job done so well, intergenerationally and cooperatively.
