Rev. Dr. Erin Reed Cooper

Erin Reed Cooper, Director of Children, Youth, & Families

Erin is an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She received her doctor of educational ministry from Columbia Theological Seminary in 2016, as well as a master of divinity from Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis in 2004. She graduated from Bethany College in 1997.

Erin previously served at the St. James United Methodist Church where she was the director of family ministries. Prior to St. James, Erin was the managing editor of InsideOut Curriculum with Chalice Press until July 2017. She was the program director at the Calvin Center in Hampton, Georgia, where she coordinated with pastors and youth leaders to create program retreats for middle and high school youth, college students, and seminarians. From July 2005 until October 2011, Erin was the associate minister and interim senior minister for Sandy Springs Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), where she oversaw the family and children ministries.

Erin has two (nearly) grown children and lives in Decatur with her wife, a black lab, two cats, and an assortment of fish. She loves the outdoors, movies, and playing with kids of all ages.
