The Holy Spirit invariably leads people to do unpredictable things, uncharacteristic things, dangerous things. The Spirit mischievously possesses you, and she leads you to create beloved community… person by person, day by day, act by act. No one likes the Holy Spirit less than the political and economic elite, who want religious people to stay quiet and subservient, so that “business as usual” can continue. But Paul and Silas won’t cooperate, as we learn in Acts 16. Led by the Spirit, they have their eyes on the prize.
