Share in the experience of Holy Week at NDPC. Here is the schedule of events:
Sunday, March 29th: Palm Sunday
Cut branches from your yard and bring your protest signs (Hosanna! Down with Caesar! Long Live the Revolution of Jesus!) as we march into worship.
Thursday, April 2nd: Maundy Thursday
We wash one another’s feet in the sanctuary, then move to the Fellowship Hall for dinner, Communion, and telling the story of Jesus’ great love and death. RSVP for Maundy Thursday. If you want to help with set-up, clean-up, or can make lentil soup to contribute to dinner, use our Sign-Up Genius link.
Friday, April 3rd: Good Friday
We will walk from downtown Decatur to NDPC (about 2.5 miles), reading the Stations of the Cross along the way. Please register on Realm if you plan to participate. Following the walk, the sanctuary will be open to all for silent prayer from noon until 3pm.
Sunday, April 5th: Easter.
Worship at 7AM at Decatur Cemetery, or 8:45 and 11AM at NDPC. An intergenerational Easter Celebration takes place in the Fellowship Hall from 9:45-10:45AM.
