Virtual Journey to Guatemala: “The New Face of Mission”

Wednesday, August 24, 2022
4:30 p.m. Pacific / 5:30 Mountain & Guatemala / 6:30 Central / 7:30 Eastern

What is the “New Face of Mission” in a world still reeling from colonialism? Join CEDEPCA for the next Virtual Journey to Guatemala where we will talk about what makes for healthy cross-cultural relationships. If you lead mission trips or ever plan to, this Virtual Journey is for you. We will use the new book, Freeing Congregational Mission: A Practical Vision for Companionship, Cultural Humility, and Co-Development, as the focal point in our conversation.

The book’s co-authors Hunter Farrell and Bala Khyllep are professors and directors of the World Mission Initiative at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. We are excited that both authors will be present to guide us on this Virtual Journey. Participants are encouraged to read the book beforehand for a richer experience.

Pre-registration is required: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZIuf-GvqjIqHtM2QF7KuLW4U8Hpk0ZGRpXP

To buy the book, please visit: https://freeingmission.com/. If you buy the book at IVP, use discount code: MISSION for a 30% discount + free shipping in the USA. A purchase of more than 10 books receives a 40% discount (no code needed)
