Easter Sunday this year is April 20th, 2025. The week leading up to Easter is the most important week of our year. There will be five opportunities for you to participate in the Holy Week drama at NDPC:
- Palm Sunday, April 13th; 8:45AM and 11AM worship; bring cut branches to church to wave as we march after Jesus in his journey to the cross.
- Maundy Thursday, April 17th, 6:30PM; meet in the sanctuary to wash one another’s feet, then go to the Fellowship Hall for a meal with Jesus.
- Please register in advance for this worship (which includes a light dinner).
- Help by bringing food, or set-up or clean-up. Volunteer for Maundy Thursday.
- Good Friday Walking Prayer Pilgrimage, April 18th, 9:30-11:30AM; our route begins at Memorial Drive Ministries in Clarkston and finishes at NDPC; we read the Stations of the Cross along the way. Meet at NDPC at 9:15 if you want to carpool to the start of the walk.
- Good Friday Worship at NDPC, April 18th, noon – 6PM; the Sanctuary will be open with a self-guided liturgy; hear the story of Jesus’ crucifixion and engage with hands-on stations that allow you to explore the story; appropriate for all ages.
- Easter Sunday, April 20th, 7AM ecumenical worship in the Decatur Cemetery; 8:45AM and 11AM worship at NDPC.
