Join our Team as NDPC’s new full-time Director of Children, Youth, and Family Ministries
We are seeking a talented, caring person to help form NDPC’s children, youth, and parents in the Way of Jesus through worship, learning, service, and friendship.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Director of Children, Youth, and Family (CYF) Ministries will:
- Be a primary pastor for NDPC’s children (infant–elementary), youth (middle and high school), and families.
- Oversee spiritual formation for children, including Sunday morning classroom and worship experiences featuring a Godly Play pedagogy.
- Oversee spiritual formation for middle school and high school youth, including Sunday morning classroom, youth groups, confirmation classes, Our Whole Lives sexuality curriculum, and summer programming.
- Assist with the recruitment of volunteers for programs and special events with children, youth, and families.
- Maintain a CYF calendar, and coordinate that calendar with the unified church calendar.
- Facilitate effective communication for all CYF programs.
- Maintain a roster of children, youth, and families.
Qualifications:
- Motivated, organized, with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working with children, youth, and families.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Facility with liberal/progressive theology (formal theological education is desirable).
- Willing to work in a team and stay flexible.
- A personal Christian faith.
Desired Skills:
- Strong public speaking and group leadership skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience with social media.
- Competency in Google Suite, MS Office, and email.
Annual Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience, with health insurance and additional benefits.
