Worship this Sunday is at 8:45 and 11AM.

Epiphany

The Feast of the Epiphany marks the “last” day of the Christmas season. Traditionally, Epiphany is the day the 3 magi, after following the bright evening star, finally arrived at Bethlehem to meet the newborn child. Their epiphany (a word that means a bright flash of insight or revelation) frames our own celebration. Every year on Epiphany, NDPC gives over the whole service to poetry. Poetry is uniquely suited for epiphanies–in short written lines, a poem can reveal whole universes!

NDPC affiliate clergyperson the Rev. Melissa Tidwell has curated original and suggested poems from NDPC members for worship this Sunday, which will be read aloud and interspersed with music and singing. Our Many Hands liturgical arts group has prepared an activity to encourage your heart and brain to tune in to the Spirit’s movement in worship and in your life. Holy Communion will be celebrated at both services.
