Prisontown Performance

The Global Missions Council of NDPC hosts Prisontown, Thursday, March 12th at 7 pm.

Written and performed by former Out of Hand Associate Artistic Director, Lee Osorio, Prisontown is an intimate, story-driven performance about a writer going home to Lumpkin, GA, home to one of the nation’s largest immigration detention centers, and witnessing the barbarity of the nation’s immigration crisis, and a small town torn by poverty and the prison industry. Performances take place in living rooms across Metro Atlanta. This event is will include conversations with community partners include El Refugio, ACLU of Georgia, Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Atlanta, Latin American Association, Latino Community Fund, and Tahirih Justic Center.

Details: This event is free to the public but donations will be accepted. Light refreshments and a time of reflection and discussion will follow the production.

Location: Fellowship Hall – The building located closest to the NDPC parking lot and/or playground. Enter the building via the first set of doors near the parking lot
