COMMUNITY MINISTRIES

NDPC members are committed to partnering with local DeKalb County organizations to end homelessness, create affordable housing, and care for our neighbors. Contact [email protected] with questions or to volunteer.

Decatur Cooperative Ministry

We partner with DCM to support their family shelter, Hagar's House, and provide transitional housing for formerly homeless families.

The Initiative for Affordable Housing

We work with IAH, DeKalb County's largest provider of affordable housing for formerly homeless families.

El Refugio

Through our partnership with El Refugio, which provides care and support to both detained immigrants at Stewart Detention Center and their families, we visit with detainees at Stewart, and offer financial support to El Refugio.

We volunteer with NDPC's "neighborhood" school, which has a focus on serving DeKalb's refugee community. Become a tutor and mentor!

Memorial Drive Ministries

We support this faith-based non-profit that provides a welcoming community for organizations that serve others, predominantly refugees and underserved populations, in the Clarkston and Stone Mountain area.

We work with Decatur Emergency Assistance Ministry, our community's emergency food pantry and provides other essential services.

The LaundRY MiniSTRY OF MERCY CHURCH

We meet at the local laundromat two Wednesdays a month to pray for and wash the clothes of our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
