If you’ve been looking for a warm, welcoming church home, August is a wonderful time to visit. As a progressive, intergenerational Christian community, we invite people of all ages to explore faith, build relationships, and grow together. At North Decatur Presbyterian Church, we believe faith is meant to be lived in community. As a progressive, intergenerational congregation, we learn from one another across generations, ask thoughtful questions, and seek to love our neighbors well.
- Christian Formation Returns August 9 – As summer winds down, we’re looking forward to gathering together for a new season of worship, learning, and fellowship at North Decatur Presbyterian Church. Beginning Sunday, August 9, we’ll return to our regular Sunday morning schedule with two worship services at 8:45 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.
Intergenerational Series
Our 9:45 a.m. Christian Formation Hour also resumes on August 9. Throughout the month of August, we’ll gather as a community, with children, youth, and adults learning and creating together. We’re excited to welcome Ellen Gadberry, who will lead a series of creative experiences designed to bring all ages together in faith and imagination.
We Like You Just the Way You Are!
An August Series for All Ages
Beginning August 9, join us each Sunday at 9:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall for a special four-week, multigenerational church school series for all ages—from 4 to 104. Inspired by the teachings of Jesus, the wisdom of Fred Rogers, and beloved picture books, we will explore what it means to be a Matthew 25 congregation that actively Centers Children and Youth. Through storytelling, conversation, and creative activities, we will practice kindness, gratitude, hospitality, and peacemaking while deepening our connections across generations. Come discover anew that everyone belongs and that we truly do like you just the way you are.
