Sunday service: 11AM. Join us this Sunday in-person or online!

Thanks to our 20-21 Sunday School teachers!

A HUGE thank you to all of our Church School teachers, advisors, mentors, and CYF volunteers who served our children during the ’20-’21 virtual church school year!

Thank you is not enough! What an extraordinary year to be a Sunday School volunteer teacher. You not only gave your time and energy to our kids on Sunday morning, but you had to figure out how to engage them… on Zoom! You were silly, funny, creative, thoughtful, kind, patient, persistent, and most of all, loving.

We thank God for each of you. You shared yourself and your love for God with our children and youth and YOU yourself have been a gift to NDPC. When you volunteer to teach Sunday School, you are faithful to the promise that each of us makes at baptism to help raise our children in the Christian faith.

Shepherds have met with our pre-school and elementary children every Sunday since September over Zoom. They have prayed, played, sung and shared their screen and themselves at 8:45am, each week.

Thank You – Annie Godfrey, Jack Kittle, Ellen Herbert, Genia Duchon, Janelle Moore, Jessie Bond, Dee Raeside, Fran Mohr and Anna Kershaw

Along with the elementary shepherds, has been a team of people who joined the Zoom class to share a Bible story and themselves.

Thank You – Roberta Goldbaugh, Nancy Meinersmann, Diane Wilkes, Barbara Gifford, Jean Wright, Marie Schoeneberg, Shannon Ball, Janet Jasper, Ellen Gadberry, Lee Nichols, Kendra Peebles, Virginia Pribbenow and Erin Reed Cooper.

Our children also gathered on the Second Saturday each month for fun and faith.

Thank you Kara Morrison and Shelly Roberts.

The Youth advisors met with the middle school and high school youth over Zoom and in person, as well as, maintained relationships as things changed over the year. Several will be going to Montreat this summer too.

Thank you – Erika Meyer, Jesse Bowen, Sally Owens, Justin Cook and Rob Schoonover.

Also, several members shared their faith as Confirmation Mentors

Thank you – Jill Jacques, DeeDee Murphy, Dee Raeside, John Sandifer, and Charles Bonner.

Behind the scenes people work on the CYF Committee and it’s working groups for children and for youth.

Thank you – Carol Morgan, Ellyn Cochran, Shelly Roberts, Gail Brown, Shannon Ball, Angela Cass, Marion Reeves, Andrea Morgan, all of our youth advisors and our youth elders, Audrey Markham, Claire Dishman, Sam Fisher and Freeman McGregor Mosley.

This year one of the new things that people found meaningful, as well as necessary and practical, in our isolation, was home deliveries. We even had a crew who faithfully delivered packets to our children.

Thank you – John Pribbenow, Astrid Eckert, Rusty Godwin, Becky Veal and Francisco Barron Serrano.

Please consider writing a note to one or more of these faithful friends to express your gratitude!

In Gratitude,

Elder Viriginia Pribbenow
