8:45 AM – Contemplative Worship Service (every 4th Sunday of the month)

Celebrate Earth Day at NDPC

The Creation Care Committee cordially invites you to celebrate EARTH DAY following the 11:00a.m. worship service. We will have sweet and savory bites and information on how you and your church community can be pro-active in preserving our beautiful environment. Families and especially children and youth can learn how to compost – either in their back yards, though a composting service and at church! Come learn about our new partnership with Compost NOW and how we all can make a huge difference in reducing our dumpster waste!

Tired of mowing your lawn and paying for water and fertilizer?
Learn how you can reduce or eliminate your lawn and enrich the environment with more biodiversity. We will have information on how to begin, what plants are great Georgia natives, and what are great pollinators! Volunteers from our church pollinator garden will be able to answer your questions.

Want to learn what our church is doing to lower its carbon footprint?
Visit the GIPL table and find out what local congregations, churches and mosques are doing to promote Creation Care.

Want to try to grow your own vegetables this year? Danielle Durgin and Gracie Durgin from REFarmAtlanta will be offering their spring selections!

Gracie (Age 11) grows organic vegetable plants and will have the following for you to select:

Basil (Traditional, Cinnamon and Lemon)
Eggplant (Asian and Italian)
Peppers (Bell, jalapeno, sweet and skinny)
Tomatoes (German Johnson, Super Sweet 100, SunGold)
Squash (Zuchini, yellow)
Beans (pole and bush)
Okra
Ice-Box Watermelon

Danielle will offer her organically grown hand-tied best blooms of the season bouquets. (They accept all cards, ApplePay, Venmo and cash)

Celebrate Spring and learn more about what you can do to make our world safer, cleaner and better!
