Lenten Whole40

Lent begins early this year (wasn’t it just Advent?). We hope you are planning to spend this season of spiritual deepening with our community of disciples. This year, we are partnering with NDPC member Rev. Kimberly Broerman to use her brilliant and fun curriculum, Whole40: From Too Much to Enough.

Lenten Whole40 offers an authentic, personal and practical look at our real, contemporary lives and how we might live them with more intention, presence, and contentment. Patterned on the premise of the popular Whole30 diet, Whole40 invites participants into weekly fasts and feasts, removing common distractions, and replacing them with more soul-nourishing practices. Through self-observation, guided meditation, personal discernment, and group dialogue, we examine our habitual patterns of thought and behavior, and experiment with living a more soulful and satisfying life, that is not only good for us, but good for the world.

The Lenten season will include:

  • A Pre-Lenten Day Retreat on Saturday, February 10th (10AM – 2PM) with Rev. Broerman at NDPC
    • Register HERE  for the Pre-Lenten Day Retreat. Note the cost is $50 that includes lunch.
  • Ash Wednesday, February 14th: 5-6:30PM gathering on the Plaza around the bonfire for family-friendly self-guided liturgy and ashes-to-go; 7PM worship in the Sanctuary
  • Sunday morning classes for adults organized around Whole40 beginning Feb. 11th (facilitated by Rev. Stoops)
  • Sunday morning classes for youth organized around Whole40 beginning Feb. 11th (facilitated by Rev. Lewicki)
  • Wednesday morning classes for adults organized around Whole40 (facilitated by Rev. Broerman)
