Our guest preacher at the 11am worship service this Sunday is the Rev. Dr. Claudio Carvalhaes. Dr. Carvalhaes is an Associate Professor of Worship at Union Theological Seminary in New York. A native Brazilian, Carvalhaes is a theologian, liturgist and artist whose work reimagines liturgy for liberation in a postcolonial and globalized context. He has preached and led worship at events around the world, including at the Wild Goose Festival and the Festival of Homiletics.
His sermon this Sunday, My Heart Drops to the Floor, reflects on Job 37 and on human migration and border crossings.
